On June 23 of 1962 Delilah W. Pierce and a group of business owners, educators, and clergy left for an organized trip outside of America. This trip took them to Holland, France, Italy, and Greece. In 1996 Delilah W. Pierce’s art was featured in Bearing Witness: Contemporary words by African American women artists. The book was published by Spelman College and Rizzoli International Publications. Jontyle Theresa Robinson and Maya Angelou are the authors.
